Awards

The ’45 Aid Society gives the following awards to those who commemorate the story of the Boys.

The Boys were teenage and child-Holocaust survivors, who were brought to the UK after World War II for rest and rehabilitation.

 

The Lorraine Kingsley Award

The Lorraine Kingsley Award is an annual prize awarded to individuals for their exceptional contribution to the work of the ’45 Aid Society.

It is presented each year at the Reunion, by the family of the late Lorraine Kingsley, daughter of Monty Graham.

The Alfred Huberman Writing Award

Alfred Huberman

A writing competition for young people (aged 18 and under) designed to encourage them to learn the lessons of the Holocaust and to ensure that its horrors will never be forgotten.

The award is run in conjunction with the Lake District Holocaust Project.
